Abundance Surrounds Me and Flows Freely – October Affirmation

💬 “Abundance flows to me freely. I am grateful for what surrounds me and ready to receive more.”

We chose this October affirmation as a reminder that abundance is both about recognizing the gifts already in our lives and trusting that more is on its way.

Often, we forget that the things we now call ordinary were once the very dreams we wished for. And just as important is knowing that we are worthy of receiving what we still desire.

Gratitude as the Foundation of Abundance

Abundance often begins not with receiving more, but with seeing clearly what is already here.

However, we sometimes forget that the things we now take for granted were once the very things we longed for. Relationships, opportunities, even the smallest comforts, once felt like distant dreams.

When I look back, I can see this clearly in my own life. As a child, all I dreamed about was the chance to travel and move abroad. Today, I’ve been able to travel more than ever as an adult, and I even lived abroad for three years. I also once wished for a corporate job with flexibility—a dream that has since become my reality.

It’s in moments of gratitude that we recognize how rich life already is. Rain feels precious after heat, and food feels sacred after hunger. In the same way, our awareness grows sharper when we pause to notice what’s already around us.

Gratitude doesn’t mean we stop dreaming or desiring more. It means we create space for more to flow in, without losing sight of the blessings already in our hands.

Releasing the Blocks so Abundance Flows to Me

Even when life offers us so much, it’s easy to miss it because of the blocks we carry.

Scarcity whispers that what we have might vanish. Comparison convinces us that others always have more. Guilt makes us question whether we even deserve what flows our way.

These quiet patterns are often learned, not chosen. Maybe they came from family stories about money. Maybe from society’s endless “not enough” messages. Or perhaps from times when we reached out and felt disappointed.

Whatever their origin, these beliefs can leave us clinging tightly, rather than opening freely.

But the truth is this: abundance isn’t measured against anyone else’s life. And it isn’t something we must earn through constant striving. Abundance grows best where gratitude and openness meet.

Releasing old blocks doesn’t mean ignoring them. It means gently loosening their grip on us. Read our August affirmation on Letting Go of Control for a deeper reflection on this practice.

Trusting That Abundance Flows to Me Freely

When we release the weight of scarcity, comparison, and guilt, abundance changes and begins to feel less like something we must chase and more like something that naturally flows.

It moves in cycles, just as the seasons do. There is a time for sowing, and there is a time for harvest.

My Reiki healer, Rita Briffa, once told me that we can learn a lot about abundance simply by looking at the trees. In winter, they stand completely bare, yet they do not complain. They know it is only temporary. Eventually, they will bloom again and carry abundance in full.

Trusting the flow of abundance means believing that what is meant for us will not pass us by. It’s the quiet confidence that love, joy, and opportunities arrive when we are ready to receive them. Instead of clinging tightly or doubting our worth, we allow life to surprise us with its generosity.

In this space of trust, abundance doesn’t feel like a prize to win but a current to step into. The more we soften, the more we notice that it’s already moving all around us—and through us.

Anchoring into Abundance

If you ever find yourself slipping into scarcity or doubt, let these words remind you that:

🌾 Abundance begins with gratitude for what already fills your life.
🌾 Comparison and guilt cannot measure your worth or your blessings.
🌾 Trusting the flow allows abundance to arrive with ease, without force.

This October, may you notice the richness already woven into your days. Keep your heart open to the more that is waiting to meet you.
